I was in fear for my life!

After combat as a civilian, don’t say anything beyond “I was in fear for my life, and I want to talk to my lawyer”. You will probably have memory blackouts and distortions. You don’t want such a statement in court. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, Sheepdog Seminar for Churches (paraphrased)
